How To: Add and Send Media Files
The Media option allows you to add media files to your account and send them to participants as a URL in a chat, text, or email message. When sending images or files through Text or Email, they can only be sent by using a URL that the participant will click on to view. When sending through chat, you can utilize MMS to send images (
How to: Send and Receive Images in Chat) or you can use the Media file to send a URL link to the file.
Note: Media must be enabled on an account prior to use. Please reach out to Teletask staff to enable this feature.
- Log-in to: https://hms.teletask.com/, your email address is your username.
- Click on Messages in the top menu bar.
- In the submenu select the Media option.
- Click the Add Files button.
- Drag and drop the media file or click into the Drop Files here or click to upload box.
Note: The media file size is limited to 10MBs.
- Once the file has been added, press the Upload button.
- A notification will appear to let you know the upload was successful.
- You will now see the file listed under the Media section and it can now be used.
Send Media though Text Message or Email
Open or create the message that you are going to include the Media file in.
Note: Media files can be added to Text or Email messages, they are not available for Voice messages.
- Under the Contents section of the message, select Start or Edit under Text or Email.
- Type the message that you want to include with the Media file. Leave your mouse cursor at the spot where you want the Media file link to appear.
- Use the Add Media drop-down, on the right-hand side, to select the media you want to send. This will create a URL for the media.
- The Merge Tag link for the media will appear in the content of the message.
