How to use: Smart Chat


Smart Chat features are designed to make sending clear and professional chat communications easier and more efficient for your organization.

Auto-Correct will analyze a message typed-out by the user, checking for common misspellings and grammar mistakes, while Suggested Responses are automatically generated responses that are intended to address the incoming request from the participant.

Note:  Smart Chat features must be enabled on an account prior to use. Please reach out to Teletask staff to enable this feature.


Smart Chat: Auto-Correct

  1. Log in to https://hms.teletask.com

  2. Navigate to Chats  .

  3. In the upper-right corner of your chat window, click on the gear icon  to open your Settings window.

  4. Under Chat Settings, check the box to enable Smart Chat.



  5. The auto-corrected message, will automatically appear as a pop-up after you type 3 or more words in the text box.



  6. To accept the changes and continue editing the message, hover your mouse cursor over the pop-up and click on the pencil icon . The updated message will populate in your chat box.

    - OR -

    To send the auto corrected message as it appears,
    click on the up arrow icon  and the message will send to the participant.

Smart Chat: Suggested Responses

  1. Log in to https://hms.teletask.com

  2. Navigate to Chats  .

  3. In the upper-right corner of your chat window, click on the gear icon  to open your Settings window.

  4. Under Chat Settingscheck the box to enable Smart Chat.



  5. Select the participant you wish to reply to, a pop-up will appear with a suggested response.



  6. To accept the response and continue editing the message, hover your mouse cursor over the pop-up and click on the pencil icon . The updated message will populate in your chat box.

    - OR -

    To send the message as it appears in the pop-up, click on the up arrow icon  and the message will send to the participant.
