How to: Set up Default Message Properties


Default Message Properties typically do not need to be changed. Sometimes you want to add additional language or change default message type. To learn more about configuring the Default Message Properties, please follow the steps below.


  1. Click Settings  in the top menu bar.

  2. Choose Miscellaneous   as your Setting type.

  3. Under Default Message Properties, update the selections.

Languages

Langues lets you pick the default languages when you choose to create a new message.
  1. Select Add additional language.



  2. In the language box that appears above, use the drop-down menu to select the desired language.



  3. The new language is now listed.



  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and Press Update  to finalize your changes.

  5. When you create a new message, the default languages will already be selected.



Message Type

The available Message Types are Text, Voice, or Email. 
  1. Check the box next to the Message Types you would like to have set as your default.



  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and Press Update  to finalize your changes.

  3. When you create a new message, the default message types will already be selected.


Limit Language Selection

By enabling the Limit Language Selection feature, you decrease the number of languages that can be used for a message to those that you specify.
  1. Check the box next to Limit Language Selection to enable it.



  2. Press the Add additional languages button.
    Note: English is the default language.



  3. Select the drop-down list and choose the language you would like to add.



  4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 till you have finished adding all of the languages you want to be able to choose from when sending a message.



  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and Press Update  to finalize your changes.

  6. When you create a new message, the languages that can be added will be those you specified above.
