How to: Create a Chat Report

The Chat report type allows you to view chat messages for a specified time period. You can run the report on chats sent by a specific user or chats sent to and from a specific phone number.


  1. Click Reports  in the top menu bar.

  2. Choose Chats  as your report type.

  3. Decide if you want to to include Incoming Messages to the report and then check or uncheck the box.
    Note: the include Incoming Messages check-box is checked by default.



  4. Use the drop-down menu to select a specific user and report on just their Outgoing Messages, or leave it defaulted to All users to broaden the report..



  5. Enter your Starting and Ending Date Range for this report.



  6. Optional:  To narrow the search further, enter a 10 digit phone number and locate the messages only associated with that particular number.



  7. Optional:  Choose if you’d like to Change Report Columns. These are the columns that will appear in the report.



  8. Click-on Generate Report  to finish creating the report and view the results.  

After the report is generated, scroll down on the Reports page to view the statistical results. Once the results are generated, you can export them as a .csv Excel file  or choose to print them .
