How to: Cancel a Scheduled Message

Sometimes things change and a scheduled message needs to be changed before it goes out, or a message is sent to the wrong recipients. We offer the ability to cancel either an entire scheduled message or an individual message sent to a specific recipient. 

Note: Canceling messages cannot be undone. If a message is cancelled by mistakes, it will need to be resent.

We offer three ways to cancel messages which are outlines below.
  1. Cancel a Scheduled Message through the Dashboard (Most Used)
  2. Cancel All Scheduled Messages with the Same Name through the Messages Page
  3. Cancel a Scheduled Message sent to a Specific client through the Dashboard

Cancel a Scheduled Message through the Dashboard (Most Used)

  1. Log-in to: https://hms.teletask.com/, your email address is your username.

  2. Click on the Dashboard   in the gray bar.
    Note: If using the Scheduler go to Messages  in the gray bar and then choose Message Dashboard.

     

  3. Locate the scheduled message in the Message Activity.



  4. Click Edit and choose Cancel.



  5. A dialog box will appear requesting verification that you want to cancel the message and all the associated individual messages. Press OK.



The message is now cancelled and will disappear from the Message Activity section of the Dashboard page.


Cancel all Scheduled Message with the Same Name through the Messages Page

  1. Log-in to: https://hms.teletask.com/, your email address is your username.

  2. Click on the Dashboard   in the gray bar.

  3. Locate the message that you want to cancel.



  4. Select Edit to the right of the message and choose Cancel Scheduled.
    Note:  This will cancel all scheduled messages of this title. If you need to remove a particular scheduled message please cancel through the Dashboard.



  5. A dialog box will appear requesting verification that you want to cancel the message and all the associated individual messages. Press OK.


The message is now cancelled and will disappear from the Message Activity section of the Dashboard page.


Cancel a Scheduled Message sent to a Specific Client through the Dashboard

  1. Log-in to: https://hms.teletask.com/, your email address is your username.

  2. Click on the Dashboard   in the gray bar.
    Note: If using the Scheduler go to Messages  in the gray bar and then choose Message Dashboard.

     

  3. Locate the scheduled message in the Message Activity.



  4. Click Edit and choose View Messages.



  5. Locate the message or messages you want to cancel and check the box next to them.



  6. Above All Messages, click Cancel to cancel the messages you previously selected.



  7. A dialog box will appear requesting verification that you want to cancel the message and all the associated individual messages. Press OK.



The message is now cancelled and will disappear from the All Messages section of the Dashboard page.
