Chats Page

Overview

The Chats feature allows you to send text or image messages to a participant through their phone's text message system.  This two-way  SMS communication allows for a faster response time while maintaining records of the conversation.  Multimedia Messaging Service or MMS is a way to send messages that include multimedia content. Examples of multimedia include image files such as .jpeg, and .png. This means that you can send and receive images of documents such as completed forms through chat rather then emailing or delivering by hand.

Note:  2-way messaging (Chat), MMS (ability to send images through chat), and Surveys must be enabled on an account prior to use. Please reach out to Teletask staff to enable these features.


The Chats Page is where you can answer questions such as:
  1. How can I send a text message to a specific participant?
  2. Can I send a chat to someone who is not currently a participant?
  3. How can I get an alert for incoming chat messages?
  4. How can I receive a picture from the participant?
  5. How can I assign chat messages to a particular staff member?


Sending Chat Messages

A new chat message  can be sent either to an existing participant or to a new participant.

Sorting Chat Messages

Chats can be sorted and filtered to make it easier to locate a specific group of chats.

Chat Reports and Alert Notifications 

Chat Reports allow you to review your chat history.  Alert Notifications  keep you informed of incoming chat messages.
